|The variation (lump, neckdown or the like)surely passes the 2 slits(Slit
1 and Slit 2). And, the change of light volume received in Slit 1 and Slit
2 shows nearly the same waveform.
Dust, contamination or the such passes either of the 2 slits or passes the slits at a speed different from the line speed.
Random light coming from outside causes light volume received in the 2 slits to change at the same time.
In reference to these characateristics mentioned above, TMS-01/TMS-1104W detector will;
@Variation Level Setting
The value in 3 figures on the level adjuster shows the alarm level, in the unit of micron or millimeter.
This set value shall be the absolute value of the difference of diameter of the part having variation and diameter of the normal part (that is, Dia. at part with variation - Dia. at normal part).
For example, when set as [0.52], in case the normal diameter is 1.000mm, the alarm will be output at the status that the diameter of the part having a projection becomes 1.520mm or more(upper and middle Fig..) or at the status that the diameter of the part having a dent becomes 0.480mm or less (bottom Fig..).
@Line speed and Min. Responsive variation width
As adopting AC amplifier circuit, the low cut-off friquency is approx. 3Hz and the high cut-off frequency is approx. 10KHz.
therefore, in case the diameter of the object changes very gently and/or the variation width is very small, the detecting sensitivity might be deteriorated.
For detection of such gently changing variations, minimum responsive variation width and line speed are related mutually and the guildance mentioned below is for the refernce :
